Joshua Roman—Cellist Extraordinaire
Oct 11-12, 2008 – Sat 7:30 pm, Sun 2:30 pm
Joshua Roman has generated quite a buzz in the Seattle music scene – and rightfully so! Dubbed a “Classical Rock Star” by the press, Joshua has been Principal Cello for the Seattle Symphony and the Artistic Director of TownMusic, the recital series at Seattle’s Town Hall, where he performed to standing-room-only crowds. You won’t want to miss this program.

The Messiah & Other Seasonal Music – The Tudor Choir and soloists Megan Chenovick, Melissa Plagemann, Wesley Rogers, Erich Parce and with Karla Flygare, solo flute.

The Tudor Choir has been delighting Northwest audiences for years and their recordings have been hailed in Gramophone and The New York Times. Megan Chenovick, Wesley Rogers and Erich Parce return from last year’s series where they delighted Auburn audiences with The Bartered Bride. Melissa Plagemann will be rounding out this fantastic ensemble. Our renowned principal flute, Karla Flygare will be performing Vaughan Williams’ Greensleeves and Glück’s Dance of the Blessed Spirits.


The Passions & Perils of Love

Melissa Plagemann, mezzo soprano, has appeared with some of the area’s finest ensembles including the Seattle Symphony, Tacoma Opera, Orchestra Seattle, and Seattle Opera Guild, among others. Chausson's Poem of Love and the Sea is a breathtakingly beautiful work Saint Valentine himself would cherish.
